Halloween 2008...

We had our usual gathering at the Sulwer's, this is our fourth year of fun and fellowship. The weather was incredible this year too. I think the kids collected more candy this year, then in all the previous years put together.
Dr. Gilbaugh (our dentist) will be trilled to see us in a few months!!

Austin was a Power Ranger and Tate was Lighting McQueen.

EL is not where you want to be....

Rob and Austin had a talk a few night ago about heaven and hell and how we know Avery is in heaven waiting for us to join her....so Austin, Tate and I were running errands a few days ago and Austin said, "Mom do you pray to Jesus?" and I said, "Yes, why Austin?" and he said, "Because if you don't ask Jesus into your heart, you will go straight to EL!!" and then Tate said, "Yeah and if you go to EL you would have to live with.....what's his name, oh yeah the devil!!"

And Austin said, "Yeah...you are right Tate, you would be with the devil forever."
Kids have such a great perspective on faith.
To them:
It's black or white.
You believe or you don't believe.
Heaven or hell...your choice.

our trampoline...can you see it?

When we returned from Chicago, we couldn't find our trampoline....and it was all because of the wind!! Even on the way back from Chicago there was a wind advisory.
You can barley see our trampoline in the first picture but it was all the way at the back or our 20 acres. Our farmer took the beans out this week so Rob took his truck and pulled the trampoline back to the house. It was a little bent, but hopefully nothing to serious.

Our trip to Waukegan.....unforgetable!!

Well, all 32 of us made it to the Steven Curtis Chapman/Michael W. Smith concert...and it was AMAZING!! Rob and I and the kids went back to Lisle on Thursday and enjoyed some time with the Kochan's until everyone got there on Friday. Friday night we went out to eat at Kiku's (my FAVORITE restaurant) and then to Lisle Lanes to get a few games of bowling in...the girls were just warming up and the guys decided to stop playing - BORING!!
Here is the list of people that went to the concert with us; Janet, Bob, Frank, Carol, Chris, Kevin, Cindy, Kyle, Megan, Carly, Kristi, Bob, Kalin, Matthew, Athena, Addison, Kelly, Lisa, Lincoln, Dan, Jessica, Steven, Eva, Randy, Melissa, Matt, Stacey, Kim, Rob, Jeanie Tate and Austin.
It was difficult hearing Steven take about Maria Sue because those emotions are so close to our hearts, but we are confident that Avery and Maria Sue were instant friends in Heaven.
Avery and Maria Sue-
There are a lot of people that can't wait to be reunited with you when we are called home.
We LOVE you kiddos!!

Tate the chef..

I think I inspired Tate to be creative in the kitchen after those blue raspberry jello and salami sandwiches This is what he came up with all on his own....he sliced the apples with the Pampered Chef apple peeler/slicer/corer and added a few goldfish for flavor...I was even given the opportunity to try it...YUMMY!!
(yikes, it was kind of gross)

More breadcrumbs....

Here are a few pictures that a friend of ours found on their old digital camera. These pictures were taken of Avery when we were at the Mall of America last year....she was having so much fun!! She loved it when the older kids chased her around...

Lunch of champions...

Who says I don't feed my kids well?

Before you throw your comments at me, you need to at least try a raspberry blue jello and salami sandwich....packed with protein and many other vitamins...right?
